Flex is open sou--- oh, I guess I am too late. Check out these Data Abstraction presentations!
ColdFusionIt seems that the community is abuzz (and rightfully so) about the news that Adobe has open sourced Flex. In the middle of all of this Flex hype, I wanted to point out a couple of great presentations both today and tomorrow covering ORM database abstraction tools that are being coordinated by the Online ColdFusion Meetup Group lead by Charlie Arehart and Raymond Camden .
Today
at 6pm EST, Steve Bryant will be doing his presentation on

tomorrow at 3pm EST Mark Mandel will be doing a presentation on
Transfer ORM , which I assume will be a higher level version of the presentations
that he will be giving at cf.Objective() next weekend (yea!). Transfer
is a widely respected ORM framework, and Mark is a very sharp guy. I
